PROFESSOR GABRIELLE CASPER BSc(Hons) MBBS FRANZCOG
Professor Casper is a Sydney Gynaecologist with a special interest in women’s health and human rights. She is a Director of Outcomes Australia, Past President of the Australian Federation of Medical Women and Past President of Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA). She has represented MWIA at the World Health Organisation and United Nations meetings. She is Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Medicine, Sydney, The University of Notre Dame Australia and Chairman of the NSW State Committee of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
Professor Casper is Past President of the Australian Women’s Coalition composed of 18 member organisations collectively representing as many as 3 million women in Australia. She received the 2004 Australian Medical Association (AMA) Women’s Health Award and the 2004 AMA Women in Medicine Award. Professor Casper enjoys working as a gynaecologist and cares for her patients with compassion and understanding while lobbying to improve women’s health in Australia and overseas.

PROFESSOR ALLAN GLANVILLE

Professor Glanville trained in Sydney, gaining his FRACP in 1985 before undertaking further education at the Brompton Hospital in London and Stanford University, California, USA. At Stanford University 1986-7, he performed studies in the new discipline of human heart-lung transplantation, which led to the award of a MD in 1990.
Allan works as a specialist in Lung Transplantation at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney where he is Director of the Department of Thoracic Medicine and Medical Director of Lung Transplantation. Since 1989 he has regularly performed outreach clinics in other states to foster a mantle of care for lung transplant patients and provide equity of access to these services to all Australians. He has been actively involved in the training of other clinicians who now service the interstate units.
Allan is also Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at The University of New South Wales. He is actively involved with international trials and is Chair of the European and Australian Investigators in Lung Transplantation. Dr Glanville is a foundation Director of LARA and Chair of the International LAM Treatment Alliance Liaison Group. He has authored over 130 publications. He is also the President of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation 2013 – 2014 and is a foundation Director of Outcomes Australia.

PROFESSOR GEOFF McCAUGHAN
Professor McCaughan graduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney with Hons 1 in 1975. He obtained his FRACP in 1980 specialising in Gastroenterology and Liver diseases. He completed a PHD and was a C.J.Martin NHMRC fellow at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, Oxford University from 1984-1986. During this time he cloned the Human CD200 gene.
Professor McCaughan returned to Australia in 1986 to take up a position as Staff Specialist in Hepatology and Director of Liver Transplant Hepatology at the Australian National Liver Transplant Unit at Royal Prince Alfred.
He was appointed as Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney in 1992 and as Professor of Medicine and Director at University of Sydney and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 1998. He has been Director of The Australian Liver Transplant Unit at RPAH and the University of Sydney from 2001-2003 and from 2004-present. He has been Group Head of the Liver Immunobiology Laboratory at the Centenary Research Institute for Cancer and Cell biology since 1996 and was appointed Assistant Director of the Institute in 2008. Professor McCaughan is also a Director of Outcomes Australia.
He has an international profile via the publication of over 300 papers in the International literature and over 90 International invitations to speak at recognised International meetings.

HOLLY NORTHAM
Holly Northam is Assistant Professor in Critical Care Nursing at the University of Canberra, teaching at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. She is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with many years of experience in critical care environments, and is currently a doctoral scholar investigating “The factors that influence families who decline organ donation”.
Holly is a visiting scholar at the Regulatory Institutions Network (RegNet) at the Australian National University. Holly is a founding member of Donor Families Australia; is a member of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses Organ Donation Advisory Committee and Director of ShareLife.
Holly was an organ donor coordinator and manager for the ACT Organ and Tissue Donation Agency, now known as DonateLife ACT. Holly represented the ACT on national committees reviewing organ and tissue donation and served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the National Organ Donation Collaborative.
Holly is a 2006 Churchill Fellow, which enabled her to study organ donation in the United Kingdom, Spain and the United States.

PROFESSOR BRUCE PUSSELL MB BS PhD FRACP
Professor Pussell trained in renal medicine in Sydney, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1978 and then went to London where he obtained his PhD in immunology from the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at the University of London in 1982. After 40 years in the practice of kidney disease, he retired in 2014.
Professor Pussell was head of the Transplant Service at the Prince of Wales Hospital from 1998 to 2013. In 2007 he established the East Coast Renal Transplant Service that operates on the Prince of Wales Campus and incorporates the Prince of Wales, Sydney Children’s, St George, St Vincent’s and Wollongong Hospitals. He has held positions as Chairman of Medicine and Director of Nephrology at POW Hospital, Area Director of Medicine and Nephrology for the South Eastern Sydney and Illawarra Area Health Service and was a member and then Chairman of the NSW Health Transplant Advisory Committee (TAC). He holds a conjoint appointment as Professor of Medicine at the Prince of Wales Clinical School, University of NSW. Professor Pussell is a member of Australian & New Zealand, American, European and International Transplantation Societies.

DOCTOR AMANDA RISCHBIETH
Dr Rischbieth has over thirty years’ experience in health in senior management, research and directorship roles. With significant experience in numerous road, helicopter and fixed-wing retrieval and international repatriation of critically ill patients, Dr Rischbieth led the commission and management of an intensive care unit for over ten years. She then moved into clinical research, established a cancer clinical trials unit, and held subsequent executive positions and directorships.
The current Chief Executive of the Heart Foundation in South Australia and Associate Professor at the University of Adelaide, Dr Rischbieth holds directorships on the South Australian Motorsport Board (Clipsal 500 Adelaide), SA Public Health Council, Outcomes Australia and Better Off Australia. Past directorships include National President of the Australian College of Critical Care, Leaders Institute of South Australia and its Alumni Chair, and National Heart Foundation of Australia.
Dr Rischbieth was awarded an Australian Post-graduate Award scholarship completing her PhD in 2006. She is a Governor’s Leadership Foundation Fellow and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
